Drawing of Clara Oswald from Doctor Who, aka Jenna Coleman, to celebrate the new Season of Doctor Who!
The A4 drawing is composed from several references; the face was from a "The Day of the Doctor" screencap, as well as some of the hair, and some of the hair was just made up; the jacket was the denim jacket she wore in "The Rings of Akhaten".
Took about 3 hours to draw the face, 4 on the hair, and 5.5 on the jacket.
Unfortunately, the scanner I used wasn't great at scanning in pencil, so I ended up doing a lot of tonal rework in Photoshop, including the highlights/tears around her eyes, but which overall I think ended up making it look a lot better!
Really sad to hear that she is leaving at the Xmas. I think she has been a great emotional character and so I hope I managed to capture some of that in this drawing
